Post by quaid » Tue Feb 10, 2009 8:36 pm

Hi,

keeping in view Point 57 Page 13,

I have been refused , alongwith the right of appeal, can anybody advise me on this.

I don't have proof, even certificates submitted are kept by HOME OFFICE.

Hello

Do you mean here:

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... idance.pdf
Institution
An applicant can claim 20 points if he/57. she has undertaken a period of study for the eligible qualification at an institution that:
• is a United Kingdom recognised or United Kingdom listed body; or
• is a Scottish publicly funded institution of further or higher education, or at a Scottish bona fide private education institution which maintains satisfactory records of enrolment and attendance; or
• holds a sponsor licence under Tier 4 of the points based system (once implemented).
Where the institution studied at is removed from one of the relevant lists, any award completed after this date will not be eligible for an award of points and the evidence will be discounted.
Have you not been refused because you do not have a genuine PgDiploma? Bearing in mind the BBC expose about diplomas for sale:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/7775544.stm

So are they saying you do not meet this requirement:
The applicant has been awarded:
a United Kingdom recognised bachelor’s or postgraduate degree; a)
a United Kingdom postgraduate certificate or diploma;
You will not get a right of appeal if you still have leave left, is that the case?

Did you study there? If so perhaps you can answer my question that I have asked loads of people & no one has answered! How many were in your class?

Regards
PP

I don't know whether you are ccl students or not. but your question is tricky. in the sense that you wanna pull out some information which gonna help all fake students who don't know anything.

Well, if I answer you how many students, then what is going to be your next question?

So, let the situation takes place on its own way.

thanks

This is for PaperPusher
If HO will go with BBC expose about diplomas for sale then they are wrong.

If you see that video agian then you will notice. The person who was offering fake doc he said to student " you want to study here or you want to buy diploma"?

Its clearly show that college was offering course. One thing more no one that stupid who make fake doc without college offering that diploma.

People only offering fake thing if real thing exist.

Please don't mind this is what i think..........

I have not said that I was sure that the college never offered a post graduate diploma as far as I can remember, which is why I asked the question about the number of people in the classes. I am open to the idea that there were genuine students, I am just curious about how many there were, if any. Any genuine students can PM me if they like. I will say this much, no one has answered the question so far!

Unfortunately for any genuine ex students, they won't be able to use this internally awarded certificate for Tier 1 general, CCL just isn't in the list. I doubt many reputable employers would be that impressed with it, nor any universities. It is a pretty tarnished piece of paper now in any case.

CCL have never offered a recognised or accredited post graduate diploma, but that will be between the appellants, the Judges and the immigration rules, and is a different topic altogether.

And the question about if the reporter wants to study for their PgDip could have refered to study at a different college in on the scam in any case.

I hope you get the result of your appeal that you deserve, if you deserve to win it I hope you win, if not I say no more.

All the best.

I am curious to see the determination on any CCL appeal with regards to qualification...I wonder why people think they can abuse the system and go to courts just because there is an appeal process. I really hope there is a bigger penalty for those who abuse this system because you are doing more harm to the reputation of educational qualifications obtained from the UK. Like PP said, I hope you get what you deserve.

You always asked how many students. You even ask people to phone if they know the answer. I don't understand what You exactly want to do regarding this.
