PBS Migrant reference number

Post by deleted_user » Wed Nov 09, 2011 12:25 pm

Hi,
I'm looking at the Tier 1 Gen extension form and there is a box for past HO ref numbers and a PBS migrant ref number.

I have a T1 initial application letter (08-dec-2011) but it does not mention anything about a PBS migrant reference number?

Is this number "required" if I say my English language and qualifications are same as the initial application so no further proof is being submitted?

How can u have an initial application letter dated: 08 Dec 2011 which is in the future?

On your initial application letter you would have something called as reference number which you could mention it under Home office reference number.

How can you be a Tier 1 (General) migrant when you claim:

How are you due for Tier 1 (General) extension and also due for settlement as a Tier 2 migrant at the same time?

Yes, because "I" cannot have more than immigration status / history. If you wish to ask for assistance on behalf of someone, please state so ... or have your friend register on the website.

Don't assume multiple identities.

Mate I'm not assuming multiple anything. I'm only trying to help a friend. You on the contrary are trying to "infer" my identity from my posts, which is not really your business anyway. You are not UKBA. You haven't answered the question, and haven't let others answer it either.

Instead of letting this forum be grouped under meaningful threads "reference numbers", "ilr letter", "maternity leave" etc you are trying to group the posts on this forum by the people who post them, so that there is "1 thread per person". Which is why you have to bother with who a person is. I suggest you focus on what the person is posting rather than who they are and let the forum work.

You are closing off meaningful threads created by people on the forum just so you can bunch them together into some other non-meaningful thread created by the same persons before. When people search a forum for help they don't search by member names, they search by topic subjects.

dimension7, posting for a 'friend' usually means 'I am scared UKBA is monitoring this forum and somehow it is bad if they come to know I am seeking help here' :-)

the moderator is doing the right thing in the larger interest. hang around long enough and you will find out why.

Tbh, it's simply a case of, when trying to help someone you often go into previous posts as people are not always clear on their situation or leave out facts. It is very difficult to help people when their immigration history on here is either conflicting or confusing and you will not get the best possible answer. By making it clear that your query is on behalf of someone else, it is easier to give (and expect) an accurate answer.

This forum is only as useful as you allow it to be - garbage in, garbage out.

Not true you could be trying to help a friend who is not that tech savvy.

Anyway, i've put the ref number from the past t1 grant letter into the ref numbers section and left the migrant ref number blank on his form.
