Post by rubymanchester » Mon May 18, 2015 11:50 am

Hi People, May your visas be granted soon to those waiting. Its already written above when your time will come...through Patience and sabr you will get through...remember to do Sadaqah whenever you can however small.. My daughter will be married Inshallah December 2015 so we are now starting to collect the paperwork and do research. Please could you tell us the cost of each doc eg the new moneymaking NHS surcharge.. Looks like we will be a regular visitor from now on. Much appreciated and dua for your help..

The spouse settlement fee is £956. The NHS surcharge will be £600 payable before submitting the application.
Is her future husband earning at least £18,600 per year or have savings over £16,000 to make up any shortfall? Has she passed the A1 level English test?

Casa, your prompt reply is appreciated. Daughter is British and futur son in law in in Pak. Shd we wait until marriage in Dec 15 Insha Allah and daughter will return to Uk in April 16 then wait another 6 months before submitting. This is because daughter has started work and it will be only 6 months work history? dont want ECO to pick up on anything....daughter can visit again in Pak no problem..what do you think ?..He can sit the english test after Ramadan..

It would be advisable to wait until she is able to submit 6 months payslips + a letter from her employer confirming employment/salary terms.
As we've only a month before the start of Ramadan and your future son-in-law is planning to take the test afterwards, it would be a good idea to book the test ahead if he's able to.

Great.. she will be be starting 05/06/15 and will have to leave 05/12/15 thats 6 months exactly for wage slips...does this not seem unlikely to ECO that suddenly she got employment for £18,600 for 6 months. This is why im asking shd she wait wen she returns to Uk in April 16 then get employment and wait 6 months before husband submits.. this date will lead to OCt 16. Thanks Casa

Are you saying her employment will end after 6 months and she'll look for new employment when she returns to the UK? Submitting 6 months of payslips won't be sufficient as she'll need a letter from her employer to confirm the employment is continuing.

Casa, she has a part time job but start new in June Insha Allah, then go to Pak dec and marriage on 20 dec 15. we can get employer letter but she return until end april 16. if this is insufficient then looks like we will have to wait until she returnswait fir another 6 months wage slips THEN submit.. :( This stretches it further but we would rather wait and do it properly especially with stricter rules..wat do u think. She will have to wait until she has 6 clear months earning the required amount before submitting the application.

Yes, but the gap between December and April will be a problem. When the application is submitted the most recent pay slips can't be more than 28 days old. Also if her employer is contacted (which is common) she will be on a 4 month break with no income. I'm assuming the employer won't be paying her during the 4 month holiday? Have I understood correctly that she will stay in Pakistan after the wedding and return to the UK in April?

Yes Casa you r right. She intends to return end April 16. So really to wait from June 16 to Dec 16 wages slips- THEN SUBMIT. that would make more of a case..?

Casa would a written statement from employer stating her she may re continue her lost wen she returns. Would this not be sufficient?

What I'm trying to explain is that she will have a problem if the case worker calls her employer and finds that she won't be earning anything for four months. Also, if the wedding is in December, how will she submit a pay slip for that month? It's essential to submit at least 6 months bank statements and pay slips showing she meets the minimum earnings level of £18,600 per annum. Will her employer keep her job open for her while she's in Pakistan from December to April?

Thanks Casa for explaining... Yes the employer will give her a supporting letter that her job is open and she can return to her post in April 16....So after looking at this, your advise about the submission date would be to wait until she returns Inshalllah and submit in OCt 16...? JZK
