2.3 The report states that checks were not undertaken with other government agencies e.g. NHS, benefits and tax/NI records. None of these is currently standard practice in any visa operation. The UK Border Agency is currently exploring how such checks, which require the cooperation of other agencies, can be put in place routinely and what resource implications they have.
Hi..Yes I'm certain that I will not have to pay NI for first 2 years and tax for first 2 months.vinny wrote:Are you sure you're going to be exempt from NI?
Hi..I will be paid salary in UK itself just like other employees of any UK based company. The only difference would be not paying NI. Could this lead to an issue later during applying for extension?sushdmehta wrote:Will you be paid salary in India, and only allowances in the UK - like they do with sponsored (Tier 2) migrants? If so, do remember that at the time of extension, you cannot apply multiplier factor to earnings made / credited overseas.

Hi..Thanks for your response! My concern is whether it could lead to a rejection while applying for extension. Have consulted with a few friends who already have got extenson here, according to them only the payslips are required and it does not matter whether you have paid or not paid NI. But I need to confirm. I have emailed the home office as well. Lets see.wf wrote:Aside from whether you should be paying it or not, this would not currently be an issue, however it could be at some time in the future.
