Tier 1 (General) Extension by Post.... :(

Post by Jeff-2012 » Wed Feb 22, 2012 9:42 pm

I couldnt book TIER 1 (General) extension appointment through PEO (same day service) therefore had to send application by post....Big blunder done!

Now is there anyway to accelarate the process at UKBA end or upgrade to premium service by paying extra money to UKBA...? Or to hire an agent who can help me in this....

I cant wait months to know my leave would be extended or refused...I am looking forward to do an investment in UK but cant proceed untill i know that my extension is done...and in next 2 months this investment opportunity may be lost !

Please think and tell me any way out...
Thanks in Advance !

from your post, it appears that your application was very recently filed. It takes 4-6 weeks but could be sooner or longer than that depending on your case. AND There is absolutely nothing you can do to accelerate that EXCEPT TO Withdraw your application.

Thanks but in 4-6 weeks normally biometric letter arrives :( then 4 weeks more, withdrawing application is not a good option...

No as far as I know, biometric arrives soon as they are satisfied that you have filled in the correct form, payment gone through etc etc.

according to your other thread your leave expires on 1st March - unless you can make a PEO appt for on or before that date, and get your documents back in time to apply by that date, withdrawing your application is absolutely not the way to go forward. It would be unlikely that you would get the documents back in time.

If application is withdrawn, fees are forfeited so you wont get anything back

you are highly unlikely to get an appointment for the PEO in this timescale, and even if you could, they can take a couple of weeks to send back your documents AND you will lose the fee as already pointed out. It is too late now - you need to stick with the postal application.

Thanks to all of you guys for your time and comments...
I also feel that I have no way out other than to wait...
I will try to contact immigration consultant/Rep maybe they can do anything.
Thanks.
